"If knowledge is power, then I need to know everything there is to know about our market."

Megan Johnson Judd has been appraising properties in Central Florida for over 30 years.  A court appointed expert, and having managed her own appraisal firm since 2001, she is experienced in performing all types of appraisals on all types of residential properties. Megan has spent the past five years taking advantage of the extensive educational opportunities offered via the Appraisal Institute and using those to improve both her appraisal practice and her marketing strategy for Metropolis and it’s clients.

Whether Megan is instructing seminars on appraisal principals to area real estate sales agents, speaking to local organizations or testifying in court as an expert witness, her professionalism and knowledge are supported with confidence and a fundamental understanding of what drives real estate in Central Florida. While not a real estate sales agent, Megan often works alongside her husband Adam, Broker of Metropolis Real Estate Solutions, to further marketing, promotion and customer care goals.

Megan was born in Orlando, has been a lifelong resident and attended UCF from 1990-1994.  Megan has three children, 21, 19, and 17 and enjoys spending time with her family in the Blue Ridge Mountains, at the beach, or “roughing it” in her 1985 Airstream.  Megan spent years as an active member of her children’s school PTA organizations and the Nils M. Schweizer Central Florida Modern Club.  She has also worked with Come Out With Pride-Orlando and Devereux of Florida organizations including organizing the Retro BBQ Benefit and participating in Holiday Cheer!

Megan is the author of several essays and presentations including “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of Residential Appraisal Reports” and “Understanding the Appraisal Process and How it Relates to Lending Today“.  She has spoken before the Orange County Bar Association and Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, as well as instructed informational courses at the Orlando Regional Realtor Association.
